My Favorite Book (That I’ve Written) – #MFRWauthor

Happy New Year! I hope 2018 is happy, healthy, and prosperous for you and yours.

Welcome to Round #2 of the 52-Week Blog Challenge – 2018 style! Yup, ladies and gents, we’re doing the Blog Challenge again in 2018. I’m excited – I hope you are, too.

This Week’s topic is My Favorite Thing I’ve Written (and why). I had to think about this because I’m a newbie author and have just three romance books published right now (I’m working on more!). I also have a short, but sexy novelette (Marrying Mr. Wrong) that’s only available to my newsletter subscribers (*shameless promo – get it for free when you subscribe to my newsletter) and a completed novella that’s in the editing stage. Oh, plus another book that’s partially written.

So, how to choose? If I didn’t like my books, I would rewrite and edit until I did, so…umm…

That being said, I think my favorite published book is Baby, That’s the Spirit!, which is part of Stephanie Bond’s Southern Roads Kindle World.

paranormal romance books by author Robin Michaela

It’s a contemporary romance with a paranormal twist. Amethyst can see and communicate with the dead. She was a lot of fun to write because she’s not your run-of-the-mill heroine. She’s slightly outrageous (purple-highlighted hair, the only clothing color she wears is purple, she’s got a slightly snarky attitude, and she’s got that talk-to-the-dead thing going).

The hero, Adam, is a single dad of a little girl, Lily. I had fun with Lily because she’s four years old and she can see spirits, too (so can Amethyst’s black cat, Boo).

The book has a few twists, plus a mystery, as well as the ghosts of a Civil War soldier and Adam’s recently deceased grandmother. Because it’s the second book in a two book series, I also got to revisit Beau and Jenna, the characters from Baby, Count on Me (book 1).

Who knows? I might have a different favorite when I have a few more books published, but Baby, That’s the Spirit! has been the most fun to write, so far. If you’ve read any of my books and have a different opinion, let me know in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by. Click here to see what the other authors on this blog hop rank as their favorite thing they’ve written.

See you next week!

Glad to see you, too, Ed. I feel like having less out there made it harder to choose because I’m still too “close” to them and the characters still seem real in my head. If I had 20 books out there, I might not feel that way (I’ll let you know, once I publish #20, lol).

Glad to see you again, Robin, and your post has inspired me to give my paranormal romance another thought. She, too, is in communication with a spirit (WWII) and has to travel to the Aleutians to get it sorted out. Thanks for sharing!

It’s good to see you, Raine! Hmm, maybe we find another author or two and collaborate on a “spirited” boxed set, lol? Your story sounds interesting and WWII definitely has a niche. Good luck!

Happy New Year to you! Your book sounds fun and has a lot going on. The talking to ghosts reminds me of that show, Ghost Whisperer. I never watched it, but remember it. Good luck with all your projects this year!
