Happy New Year! I hope 2018 is happy, healthy, and prosperous for you and yours.
Welcome to Round #2 of the 52-Week Blog Challenge – 2018 style! Yup, ladies and gents, we’re doing the Blog Challenge again in 2018. I’m excited – I hope you are, too.
This Week’s topic is My Favorite Thing I’ve Written (and why). I had to think about this because I’m a newbie author and have just three romance books published right now (I’m working on more!). I also have a short, but sexy novelette (Marrying Mr. Wrong) that’s only available to my newsletter subscribers (*shameless promo – get it for free when you subscribe to my newsletter) and a completed novella that’s in the editing stage. Oh, plus another book that’s partially written.
So, how to choose? If I didn’t like my books, I would rewrite and edit until I did, so…umm…
That being said, I think my favorite published book is Baby, That’s the Spirit!, which is part of Stephanie Bond’s Southern Roads Kindle World.
It’s a contemporary romance with a paranormal twist. Amethyst can see and communicate with the dead. She was a lot of fun to write because she’s not your run-of-the-mill heroine. She’s slightly outrageous (purple-highlighted hair, the only clothing color she wears is purple, she’s got a slightly snarky attitude, and she’s got that talk-to-the-dead thing going).
The hero, Adam, is a single dad of a little girl, Lily. I had fun with Lily because she’s four years old and she can see spirits, too (so can Amethyst’s black cat, Boo).
The book has a few twists, plus a mystery, as well as the ghosts of a Civil War soldier and Adam’s recently deceased grandmother. Because it’s the second book in a two book series, I also got to revisit Beau and Jenna, the characters from Baby, Count on Me (book 1).
Who knows? I might have a different favorite when I have a few more books published, but Baby, That’s the Spirit! has been the most fun to write, so far. If you’ve read any of my books and have a different opinion, let me know in the comments!

See you next week!
