New Year’s Resolutions – #MFRWauthor

www.robinmichaela.comWoohoo! We’ve made it to the finish line! This is Week 52 of the MFRWauthor 52-Week Blog Challenge. I’m proud to say that haven’t missed a single week of blogging, despite the loss of two loved ones in our family in 2017, vacations, races, etc). Thanks, so much, for hanging in there with me!

When I started this blogging journey one year ago, I was excited to try to meet the goal of blogging regularly. I’d be lying if I said I could have done it without the topic prompts provided by the MFRW Author Marketing Blog, so I will be forever grateful that they shared those prompts and initiated the challenge. Several of the authors on this blog hop have also managed to post every single week – congrats to them, as well! Additionally, we all enjoyed blogging so much that we’ll be doing it again in 2018. Stay tuned!

That being said, the topic for Week #52 is New Year’s Resolutions. Like everyone, I make ’em and then break ’em within a few weeks (except, of course, for this blog challenge, lol).

In 2018, I want to:

  • Publish at least 4 new books. I published my first one in 2016 and two more in 2017, so I’m trying to double that to four new books in 2018.
  • Run the marathon you’ve all been hearing me whine about for half of this year. I’ve finished training for it and the race is in just a couple of weeks, so I’m pretty sure I can keep that resolution. Whether I can finish in an upright position remains to be seen. <crosses fingers, toes, eyes…>
  • Clear the clutter. When my dad passed away earlier this year, we had to empty out his apartment within 30 days. Even though we’ve had garage sales and several Goodwill runs, a lot of stuff is still taking up residence in my dining room (because I published the two aforementioned books…one in October and one in November, so I’ve been swamped writing and editing for half the year). Since, I didn’t have to clear anything out for the holidays, it’s still there. I’ll have more free time at the end of January, so out it goes then!

That’s it – a short resolutions list, but one that will keep me hopping throughout the year. How about you? What are your New Year’s resolutions? Leave a comment below, then click here to visit the other authors on the list to see what they resolve to accomplish in 2018.

Wishing you and yours a joyous, prosperous, healthy and happy 2018!

He made me weed a lot of stuff out after my mom died and we moved him closer to me, but there is still a lot of stuff. Part of my problem is that if I can see a use for something, I’m reluctant to toss it, even if I don’t need it. I can totally understand how hoarders are created, lol. Happy New Year!

Congrats on making it the full year! I’m hoping to do that next year, but we’ll see. Good luck with your upcoming race! I’m not sure I’ll ever reach that level of fitness. LOL

Wishing you the best of luck with everything in 2018! Happy New Year and I guess I’ll see you around on the hop next year. 🙂

Thanks, Shari! I think everyone who posted regularly deserves praise, even if they didn’t post every single week. It’s tough to carve out time to do it. Thank heavens for the topic prompts, lol. Wishing you a happy, healthy, prosperous 2018!

Happy New Year! It has been fun completing the challenge with you this year and hoping we will get to continue for next year! Cleaning clutter always makes me feel better, and the start of a new year always has me itching to organize. Good luck with your goals!
